Two Peruvian Patterns to Stitch
Our Special Offer for April 2025
cross-point Geometric Patterns for needlepoint
Two Geometric patterns for needlepoint in our cross-point stitching technique – Peru and Pisac – are available at a special discount at 10% Off Retail this month. Both are fun, fast and easy! you will challenge yourself to stitch at least one square in Peru. It is great fun to see it developing, one color at a time.
Pattern Peru, at right in the photo above, is available from the website in two color choices. #PER-01 in reds, golds, tobacco, black, and white. #PER-02 in red, blue and white is the second option. The pattern is based on an Incan tunic. One is in the Gold Museum in Lima and a similar one at the Dumbarton Oak Estate in Washington, DC. The other in red, white and blue, is a painting in the Museo Inka in Cusco.

The second pattern, Pisac, a Geometric/Graphic designed by me, is based on a common Incan design element. Shown below, this symbol is seen throughout Peru in jewelry, fountains and building decorations. Pisac is available in our Geometric pattern Collection in three different sizes and 7 color options from the cross-point website. It reminded me of the 12 pointed star that seems to occur in all cultures:

Fountain
If you have been there you know how special a place it is. Pisac is an old city in the Sacred Valley not far from Cusco. High above the valley, terraced small fields rise up the mountain sides against a backdrop of the snow covered Andean Mountains, creating an incredible landscape. Read more about it here.
Have fun stitching these two patterns!![]()
