A while back I put together color scheme suggestions for summer stitching. Here in North Carolina summer has finally arrived. After a magnificent cool spring that extended all the way into mid-June, we are now experiencing true summer temperatures. You can find all the options for color schemes from the drop-down top navigation:
Colors we associate most with ocean, lakes and pools are on https://cross-pointblog.com/color-schemes/cross-point-summerstitching-sea-sky/
Blue and white has been a quintessential color scheme for summer for a very long time. Surveys, again and again, show blue to be the most popular color, across gender and race.
Those associated with mountains and woods are on https://cross-pointblog.com/color-schemes/cross-point-summer-stitching-mountain-wood/
Perhaps you associate summer time with hiking in the mountains and woods. The greens and browns of ferns, lichens and mosses, shade grasses, spruces, hemlocks, rocks and tree trunks combined with other colors are found in this group.
And meadow and field, including the neutrals of straw, cream and off white are found on

In this group are sunny yellows, poppy reds, cornflower and sky blue combined with sages, grass greens, wheat and straw.
I hope some of my suggestions for color combinations will inspire you to create your own favorites be that blue and white, ocean hues, woodland or mountain, field or meadow. At cross-point.com™ you can choose kits from 54 patterns in over 200 colors.
Happy Summer, stay well, be safe!
