WHAT’S NEW –  WEBSITE CHANGES

Many new color options and a new pattern have been added this year. Several patterns have been stitched so I can upload actual photos. Others have been updated with new colors. An example is the Balouch pattern.

Balouch 08 is now available with the background option of either oatmeal or historic tapestry colors. On the website you can see both backgrounds. However, if you order from the website you will get what is shown for the specific size. Currently oatmeal is shown only for #BAL-08. If you want the darker fawn color, please add to “instructions to seller” or phone or email me directly. The same option applies to other Balouch 08 sizes.

This pattern, reminiscent of Etruscan designs, is a joy to stitch. If you have been to Italy, no doubt, you visited magnificent basilicas. This pattern is such a wonderful reminder of that special trip every time your eyes fall on your pillow. We added separate chart pages for the outlines only, and, once those are stitched, the rest is just filling in the remaining colors. Easy, Fast and Fun!

This month I introduce two new color choices for pillows and runners. This pattern, Bergama, is based on a similar design I saw in Washington DC at the Textile Museum exhibition on historic Persian textiles. On the cross-point website, it is available as kits in 8 color choices and two sizes, a standard lumbar pillow 21″ wide by 15″ high, as well as a table runner or long lumbar for large sofas and beds, 16″ wide by 44″ long.

Bergama o3 pillow shown above has 7 or 8 companion pillows on the cross-point™ website. The same blues in other patterns can be used with the runner as well. The runner in the new color 07 has a companions in pattern Siena, color 06, and Morville 04. For #BERG-08, companions are found in Moghul 01  in six sizes:

ABOUT THE PATTERN

This design was inspired by a 16th Century velvet fragment found in a museum collection of antique fabrics. It is the kind of pattern that blends easily with many of the patterns in the cross-point Collection. Available in 7 stock colorways, AND, during the month of February it is also available in custom colors WITHOUT the usual custom color set-up charge. Chevron has been one of our most popular patterns for custom upholstery as well. If interested in custom colors or upholstery, please see the website page for Custom Services.

AVAILABLE COLORS & SIZES

All colors are available in two sizes – 26″ wide OR 20″ wide, by 12″ high. This pattern, whatever size you choose, is a lot of fun to stitch. The upholstery version does not include the outer frame borders. Regular Price $109.00 for the 26″ long Chevron lumbar pillow, this month with 20% Off, is only $87.20. Regular Price for the Small Chevron is $89.00 but only $71.20 during February.

OFFERING TWO NEW COLOR SCHEMES

I thought it might be fun to put together a variety of schemes that are based on a taupe scheme for basic furniture pieces. Because my background includes training in interior design, I tend to visualize my pillows and rugs in room settings and as possible starting points for pulling together an overall color scheme.

This month we introduce two NEW color options for our popular patterns – KILIM and MOROCCO STRIPE. As you can see in the photo above, both schemes are based on taupe and oatmeal as basic room colors. Adding Siena rust tile color with either Kilim color 09 or Morocco Stripe color 10, plus upholstered pieces or extra throw pillows in the rust color, can complete the scheme.

The beauty about accessories – pillows in particular – is that they can easily be changed with the seasons or our mood. Depending on your own basic color for major upholstered pieces, this concept can be used and adjusted directly from our website. If you have a favorite pattern in the cross-point collection (and I know many of you do), we list companion patterns for pillows for every design.
