Lindisfarne – Accent Pillow and Back Pillow 04 colors
Looking outside into my garden I see masses of the early daffodil ‘February Gold’ against a pure deep blue sky and it reminds me of this wonderful and fun to stitch pattern from the cross-point kits collection.
Lindisfarne is available in four color options and in four different sizes, from $159.00, to $99.00, $49.00 and $89.00 – all at 20% Off Retail (less $31.80, $19.80, $9.80 and $17.80 respectively).

Top row left is the large square 23″ x 23″ (58 x 58 cm) and below left is the small square, 18″ x 18″ (45 x 45 cm); center top row is the small accent size, only 12″ x 12″ (31 x 31 cm); at top row right is the “good for your back” pillow size we have become known for, 22″ wide by 13″ high (56 x 33 cm) – it is such a great fit between the back and seat of upholstered wing and club chairs! together, as a group, these four patterns can decorate a whole room on beds, sofas and chairs.
Pattern History for those of you who enjoy knowing about the source of inspiration for this design:
The pattern is based on a Celtic cross surrounded by interlacing squares, braids and scrolls that are typical of the geometric design motifs found in the pages of the illuminated manuscript from the monastery at Lindisfarne, off the coast of Northumberland, in northern England. Considered one of the finest works in that unique style, dating from between the years 715 to 720, it combines Mediterranean, Anglo-Saxon and Celtic design elements. The Gospels from Lindisfarne now reside in the British Library in London. Much more information on their history and origin can be found on Wikipedia.
